Holly Peppe

Public Affairs Consultant/Media Strategist 

Holly Peppe is a Public Affairs Consultant specializing in the strategic development and promotion of organizations and individuals committed to education, the arts, global health issues, human rights, and psychological well-being. Her client list includes nonprofit organizations, businesses, and celebrities. She has also served as Senior Communications Strategist and Crisis Communications Consultant to Ruder Finn, a global public relations firm based in New York.

Peppe lived abroad for eight years as External Affairs Director for ORBIS International, a nonprofit organization that provides medical and surgical training inside a converted aircraft hospital. As spokesperson and liaison to the U. S. Agency for International Development and the United Nations, she directed public awareness and media campaigns about blindness and other health issues in many countries including Cuba, Nicaragua, Romania, Bulgaria, India, and China.
                                                                                   
Peppe holds a Masters degree from Brown University and a Ph.D. in literature from the University of New Hampshire. She taught literature and writing in the U.S. and Italy, where she served as Professor and Director of the English Department at the American College of Rome. Editor of the Penguin Classics edition of Edna St. Vincent Millay’s Early Poems and Co-editor of the Collected Sonnets, Peppe has served as Literary Consultant on many projects including the upcoming film and TV documentary about Millay’s life and work. Peppe’s own poetry, essays, translations, and articles appear in various books and publications.

She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Millay Society and a founding Board member of Words Without Borders, the world’s premier resource for translated literature. She is also involved in various community and arts organizations including the National Arts Club, where she is a longstanding member of the Literary Committee.
