Moya L. Alfonso, PhD, MSPH is a Research Assistant Professor for the Florida Prevention Research Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  She has over a decade of experience conducting social marketing research and evaluation.  She specializes in working directly with communities to use marketing to create social change.  She resides in Tampa with her family, including her first grandchild.  Her research interests include adolescent mental and behavioral health and participatory research. 
 
Dr. Alfonso obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s in public health, and PhD in Educational Research and Measurement from the University of South Florida.
