
Jensen Moore, Ph.D.

Dr. Moore earned a Ph.D. in strategic and health communication from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and an M.A. in strategic communication from the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She also earned three Bachelor’s degrees from Black Hills State University: Business Administration, Marketing, and Mass Communication with dual emphases in Journalism and Public Relations and a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Moore has taught for the Missouri School of Journalism and the Wayne State University Department of Communication. She teaches in the areas of health communication, strategic communication, quantitative research methods, mass communication theory, and business communication. Her research focuses on the psychological and physiological effects of social marketing messages on youth and minorities - specifically in the areas of anti-tobacco, breast feeding, HPV and cancer, and post partum depression. She is currently working with the Missouri PRIME lab on a breast cancer screening grant from the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Health.
Prior to earning her graduate degrees, Dr. Moore worked for Isaiah Thomas as the media and public relations director of the Grand Rapids Hoops professional basketball team, and for Mike Veeck as the community relations director and advertising executive for the St. Paul Saints Baseball team.
