Professor Nevin is director of communications for the West Virginia University Foundation, the private fundraising arm of West Virginia University.  His responsibilities include overseeing all facets of internal and external communications and marketing. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was assistant director of WVU News and Information Services, the primary public and media relations arm of the University.  He also was in radio news for nearly 20 years, working at stations in West Virginia, Illinois and Missouri.

Professor Nevin is a graduate of West Virginia University's IMC program, and one of the first 17 students to enroll in the program in 2003. He also hold a bachelor's of science degree in Radio-Television from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
